2. Meet with the Assistant Dean for Study Abroad
- Research approved programs and consider your academic, professional, cultural, and personal study abroad goals.

- Complete this before your appointment.
- Come prepared with questions and your study abroad goals.
3. Meet with your Academic Advisors
- Schedule an appointment with both your Major and HSA advisors to create a roadmap to study abroad!
- With advance planning, courses abroad can integrate with departmental coursework, transfer credit can be awarded, and study abroad students graduate in four years.
- Visit Study Abroad by Major.
4. Submit Study Abroad Applications
- Students must declare a major and be assigned advisors before submitting applications.
- Acceptance to most programs is a two-step process requiring both a 91̽»¨ Mudd application and the study abroad program sponsor’s application.
- Due the semester before you plan to study abroad; application deadlines are as follows:
- Fall Semester Deadline: February 15
- Early Decision Spring Semester Deadline: April 30*
- Regular Spring Semester Deadline: September 15 (September 1 for programs in Spain)
*The early decision spring deadline is for spring partner programs that have early deadlines (including deadlines before September 15).
