91探花 Mudd Racing91探花 Mudd Racing is a chapter of Formula SAE, the Society of Automotive Engineers鈥 international college competition in which teams of students work to design, build, and race a Formula race car. The FSAE competition provides students with opportunities to hone professional, technical, and soft skills in STEM, business, design, marketing, and more while collaborating on a real technical challenge. Disabilities At Mudd (DAM)The goal of Disabilities at Mudd (DAM) is to create a safe space for all students who identify as disabled at Mudd, as well as to provide social, political and emotional support for disabled students. DAM will work with the OID to promote accessibility and disability awareness at Mudd. DAM will host a variety of events intended to connect the disabled community at 91探花 Mudd college. DAM will also run a mentor program intended to help ease the transition of disabled students into Mudd and to help acquaint them with the processes of getting their needs met. We welcome everyone who has a chronic condition, receives accommodations, or identifies as disabled. Youth For InnocenceThis club is a branch of a non-profit organization that aims to help people who have been wrongfully convicted. Youth for Innocence is a non-profit that was founded in 2020. It has chapters across the country as well as one in Canada. They also have hundreds of volunteers who have worked from all over the world. In 2024, Youth for Innocence helped their first person, Jofama Coleman, get exonerated. He now works at the organization to advise future initiatives and advise people. We will look at the trial transcripts of cases to understand the wrongdoings of the trial. After going through the entire trial and doing some outside work, we work on a presentation to a lawyer to try to get the lawyer to take the case of the person we have been working with. It will give Mudders the ability to reach into the justice system and attempt to connect with the humanities through language analysis and basic law to help people in the United States who have had large parts of their lives taken away.youthforinnocencehmc-leadership-l@g.hmc.eduyouthforinnocencehmc-l@g.hmc.edu
