I was appointed this week to serve as the city councilmember for district 2 in Brookhaven, Georgia after a decade of serving on the city鈥檚 Planning Commission, the last two as Chair. I鈥檓 looking forward to the new role and plan to run in the special election in November to complete the 4-year term ending in 2029. Stepping into elected office meant stepping away from writing for Bloomberg Opinion, but I plan to continue my writing about housing, the economy, and markets with a substack I鈥檓 about to launch.
