There exist a large variety of opportunities across the different departments and within each department. Most summer research positions are now advertised via the HMC campus wide URO recruiting website. There are two rounds of recruiting with the URO website, one in the Fall and once in the Spring. Other opportunities&nbsp;may be advertised via individual departments and faculty.&nbsp;To learn more about how to get involved with faculty from each department, follow the links below. A substantial portion of this research is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card\"><h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/engineering\/undergraduate-research-experiences\/\" class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-link\"><span class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-heading-img\" style=\"background-image: url(https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2023\/04\/Showcase_400x225_engineering-research1.jpg);\"><\/span><span class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-heading-text\">Engineering<\/span><\/a><\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-copy\">The Department of Engineering hosts several research programs dedicated to conducting cutting edge research in a variety of fields.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card\"><h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/hsa\/\" class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-link\"><span class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-heading-img\" style=\"background-image: url(https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2023\/04\/Feature_768x450-hsaresearch.jpg);\"><\/span><span class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-heading-text\">Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts<\/span><\/a><\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-copy\">As part of the College\u2019s commitment to providing a well-rounded, humanistic approach to STEM education, almost a third of 91探花 Mudd students\u2019 coursework takes place in the humanities, social sciences, and the arts.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card\"><h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/mathematics\/student-mathematics-resources\/mathematics-research\/\" class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-link\"><span class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-heading-img\" style=\"background-image: url(https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2023\/04\/Feature_768x450-mathresearch.jpg);\"><\/span><span class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-heading-text\">Mathematics<\/span><\/a><\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-copy\">The Department of Mathematics encourages student research in a number of ways.
