Serving over 1,200 community members annually, we are dedicated to creating a space where everyone feels comfortable working on a variety of projects, from electronics to sewing or artistic endeavors. The Makerspace helps 91̽»¨ Mudd further its work toward fostering inclusive excellence on campus while also creating new educational and community engagement opportunities for the students and faculty of all 7Cs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Located on the first floor of the Scott A. McGregor Computer Science Center at the corner of Platt and Dartmouth, the Makerspace is also connected to the Libra Complex just south of the Machine Shop.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><ul class=\"button-list\" data-buttons=\"3\"><li><a class=\"mudd-more-button button-1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/makerspace\/stewards\/\"><span>Stewards<\/span><\/a><\/li><li><a class=\"mudd-more-button button-2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/makerspace\/explore\/\"><span>Explore<\/span><\/a><\/li><li><a class=\"mudd-more-button button-3\" href=\"https:\/\/make.hmc.edu\/\"><span>User Resources<\/span><\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mudd2021-info-box info-box\" data-box-style=\"2\"><div class=\"info-box-heading-copy-wrapper\"><div class=\"info-box-heading-wrapper\"><h2 class=\"heading h2\">Hours<\/h2><\/div><div class=\"info-box-copy-wrapper\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Makerspace is accessible to 7C students, faculty and staff 24\/7. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stewards are available from Sunday-Thursday 12\u201311 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 12\u20138 p.m. They can help with checking out tools or equipment and providing assistance.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading section-heading\">Get Inspired<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase style-1\"><div class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-heading-wrapper\"><h3 class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-heading h2\">Project Showcase<\/h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/makerspace\/showcase\/\" class=\"mudd-more-button\"><span>More Projects<\/span><\/a><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-content-wrapper\" data-card-count=\"3\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card\"><h4><span class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-heading-img\" style=\"background-image: url(https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/makerspace\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/63\/2024\/10\/yarn2.jpg);\"><\/span><span class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-heading-text\">Electric Yarn Spinners<\/span><\/h4><p class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-copy\">Sydney and friends made their own e-spinners to turn wool into yarn! They 3D printed the frame, soldered the wires for the motors, and assembled it all together to create these wonderful spinners.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card\"><h4><span class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-heading-img\" style=\"background-image: url(https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/makerspace\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/63\/2023\/05\/project2-1.png);\"><\/span><span class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-heading-text\">Project D.R.A.C.O.<\/span><\/h4><p class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-copy\">Lyra designed and hand-sewed a leather pouch to hold her resin-filled &#8220;potion vials&#8221; for her LARP costume!<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card\"><h4><span class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-heading-img\" style=\"background-image: url(https:\/\/www.hmc.edu\/makerspace\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/63\/2023\/05\/project-3.png);\"><\/span><span class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-heading-text\">Crochet Bears and Dragon<\/span><\/h4><p class=\"wp-block-mudd-showcase-card-copy\">Eunice crocheted a bearded dragon for Vertebrate Anatomy professor!
