Trainings, Workshops and Seminars

Service Description

Academic Research and Computing Services (ARCS) regularly provides trainings, workshops and seminars to help students, faculty and staff use educational technology and academic software. The CIS workshops and trainings include, but are not limited to:

  • AV demos and trainings
  • Canvas workshops
  • Gradescope workshops
  • Scientific Computing Software trainings
  • HPC Resources workshops

Canvas and Gradescope workshops are usually scheduled either early or late in each semester to accommodate the needs of new faculty and staff. Scientific Computing Software and HPC workshops are scheduled throughout the semester, typically during less busy periods for students and faculty.

How to Access the Service

Scheduled trainings, workshops, and seminars will be announced via email list (faculty-l, students-l, and staff-l). Training sessions are posted on our ARCS Workshops page. You can also contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@hmc.edu to schedule one-on-one training.
