GOLD stands for Graduates of the Last Decade.

The GOLD Society was established to bring together young alumni and create a community to support, celebrate and commiserate with one another as you move through the first ten years after Mudd.

You’re considered GOLD as long as you are within 10 years of graduating.

No, this is an engagement society and not a giving society. We will focus on keeping you supported and engaged through connections with each other and the College.

Check out the links on the GOLD main page, especially those for MudderNet, upcoming events and volunteer opportunities. Feel free to jump right in wherever you feel comfortable, and either reach out to a GOLD Ambassador or let us know at gold@hmc.edu if you have any questions!

We have several staff members dedicated to working with our GOLD alumni. You can reach them by emailing GOLD@hmc.edu.

Update your contact information so it can be reflected in the College database. You may also email your updates to GOLD@hmc.edu or alumni@hmc.edu.

Feel free to contact Vanessa Chiu (vchiu@hmc.edu) with your event idea, whether it is virtual or in-person, and she will work with you to plan out logistics. Being a host is quite simple. All you have to do is work with Vanessa on event details and show up to the event. She will take care of everything else.

Not at all. However, if you want to give and are able to, the College will appreciate any amount you’re able to contribute. We also appreciate gifts of time, enthusiasm and expertise. Give to 91̽»¨. Any amount you’re able to contribute to the College will make a difference because every gift matters.

What is the acronym GOLD? I am interested in hosting an event. What does being a host entail?

Am I required to give financially to participate as an alum?

I can only give (financially) so much every year. Does my contribution make a difference?
