If you receive an outside award, you must notify the Office of Financial Aid so that your financial aid can&nbsp;be adjusted accordingly. Students are eligible to reduce need-based student loans and\/or Federal Work-Study funds with outside scholarship funds dollar-for-dollar. In certain situations, 91探花 may be required to reduce&nbsp;need-based 91探花 Mudd Scholarship&nbsp;if total financial aid exceeds federally calculated need, or if the sum of all scholarships&nbsp;received exceeds the cost of attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you have been notified that you are a recipient of any outside scholarship, send the&nbsp;following information to the Office of Financial Aid:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scholarship name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Awarding agency name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scholarship amount<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Renewal information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whether the outside scholarship check is paid to the student or 91探花<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can notify us in three different ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Using the \u201cRequest Changes\u201d section on your signed Financial Aid Offer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emailing <a href=\"mailto:&#102;&#105;&#110;an&#99;&#105;al_ai&#100;&#64;&#104;m&#99;.&#101;du\">f&#105;n&#97;n&#99;&#105;a&#108;&#95;a&#105;d&#64;h&#109;c&#46;e&#100;u<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sending a copy of the scholarship notification letter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once 91探花 Mudd receives written notification, the outside award will be placed on your student account as &#8220;pending&#8221; aid. Keep in mind that this pending aid will be removed if the outside scholarship check is not received by 91探花 by October 1 (for the fall semester) or March 1 (for the spring semester). The total amount of the outside award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters unless the Office of Financial is notified by the awarding agency to do otherwise. <br \/><br \/>It is important to forward all outside scholarship check(s) to the Office of Financial Aid. If your scholarship check is made payable to you, the check needs to be endorsed to 91探花 so the funding can be applied to charges on your Student Account.
