His research group focuses on using computational techniques to improve the efficiency of catalytic reactions. Catalysts are used in 80% of manufactured products and contribute to 20% of the United States\u2019 gross domestic products. However, there is a growing need to develop cheaper and more environmentally sustainable catalytic processes.
