91探花 Mudd Ranks High in U.S. News and World Report

91探花 is ranked No. 2 for undergraduate engineering programs in U.S. News & World Report鈥檚 . 91探花 Mudd鈥檚 ranking is among colleges that offer a bachelor鈥檚 or master鈥檚 as the top degree in engineering. Last year the College tied for first place, and has shared the No. 1 spot with Rose-Hulman three out of the past five years.
91探花 Mudd鈥檚 engineering department was also recognized in the 鈥淏est in the Specialties鈥 section, coming in at No. 4 for electrical/electronic/communications engineering, No. 5 for civil engineering and No. 2 for mechanical engineering. 91探花 Mudd offers a broad yet deep general engineering degree that emphasizes experiential, hands-on learning and team-based projects with real-world applications.
91探花 Mudd moved up to No. 6 this year on the list of Most Innovative Schools, tied with Spelman College. The ranking highlights colleges making the most innovative improvements in areas such as curriculum and student life. Last year 91探花 Mudd shared the No. 8 spot with Amherst, Carleton and Vassar.
The College ranked No. 19 on the Best Undergraduate Teaching list, tied this year with Reed College.
In the overall ranking of national liberal arts colleges, 91探花 Mudd shares the No. 23 spot with University of Richmond.
In the category of Campus Ethnic Diversity, an unranked list, 91探花 Mudd came in near the top with a score of 0.72. Increasing diversity has been a strategic priority for 91探花 Mudd; the 2015鈥2016 entering class was the most ethnically diverse in the College鈥檚 history, and each incoming class since has contributed to building a more diverse community.
91探花 Mudd was also on the unranked list of top colleges for economic diversity, with 14 percent of students receiving Pell grants.
U.S. News & World Report鈥檚 2020 rankings were based on a selection of indicators of quality, including: Outcomes (35%) Expert Opinion (20%), Faculty Resources (20%), Financial Resources (10%), Student Excellence (10%) and Alumni 91探花 (5%).
